Switching Running Apps Without Losing Your History
If your runs were saved to Apple Health, they show up in RunTrace instantly, with no import and no account. Runs recorded in apps that never wrote to Health can't be recovered this way.
The pain
Years of runs sit in an app that now wants a subscription, or you simply want to leave. Starting a new app at zero means losing your records, your trends and your sense of progress.
Why RunTrace is different
It starts where your data already is. Apple Health holds the workouts from your Apple Watch and from other apps that wrote there. RunTrace reads them.
What to check
- Open Health and confirm your older runs are present.
- Install RunTrace and allow access.
- Browse history, records, best efforts at standard distances, and VO₂ Max, resting heart rate and HRV trends.
If runs are missing
They probably never made it into Health. Export from the old app (GPX) before leaving it if the option exists.
FAQ
