International vs. Inland Rules of the Road: The Differences That Trip Candidates Up
Nav Rules shows International and Inland text side by side and lets you filter questions by zone: International, Inland or both. Use zone filters to isolate the differences, then mix them for exam practice.
Both rule sets cover most of the same ground. The risk is the places where they don’t.
Study the difference, not the whole text
Open the rule text and read the two versions side by side. When the wording is the same you can relax. When it differs, that is where exam questions come from.
Zone filter
Practice questions can be filtered to International, Inland, or both. A good order is:
- Drill International only until you’re accurate.
- Drill Inland only.
- Mix them, as in the real exam.
Inland-specific topics
There is an “inland-specific” topic filter for rules that exist only in the Inland rules.
Use the links
Many questions link to the rule sections that may be relevant. Read the wording of the rule rather than memorising the answer.
