Streaks, the Daily Goal and the Weekly Cleanup Reminder
Every cleanup earns XP for your companion and extends a daily streak. Removing 20 items in a day completes the daily goal for a bonus. A single local reminder fires after 7 quiet days, at 7 pm, and can be turned off in Settings.
The problem
Cleaning is a chore you do once and forget. A phone fills up slowly again, and nothing reminds you. But apps that nag every day are worse.
How the app approaches it
- XP and levels: each cleanup earns your companion XP, based on the space you free and the items you delete.
- Daily streak: clean on consecutive days and the streak grows.
- Daily goal: remove 20 items in a day to complete it. You get bonus XP, once a day.
- A single reminder: after 7 days without using the app, one local notification arrives at about 7 pm. It’s re-armed every time you open the app or clean, so an active user never sees it, and it doesn’t repeat.
Control it
- Settings → Cleanup Reminder turns the reminder on or off. It’s on by default, but iOS still needs your permission to show it. The app asks after a cleanup, not at launch.
- Settings → Haptic Feedback controls the vibrations.
Is the streak worth it?
If a daily game helps you keep your library tidy, use it. If not, ignore it: the cleanup works the same.
