Where Your Colorized Photos Are Kept, and How to Free Up Space in ReColor
Each colourisation is a project holding the original and the result on the device, shown in a thumbnail grid. Long-press a project to delete it. The app itself is large (the colour model is about 250 MB), and full-size results add up.
The problem
You’ve colourised dozens of photos and your phone storage is climbing. Where are they, what’s using the space, and what can you safely delete?
What’s stored
- The app itself, which is large because the colourisation model (about 250 MB) and the upscaling models are inside it.
- Projects. For each colourisation, ReColor keeps the original and the result as image files, plus a small thumbnail for the grid. If you’ve run HD Upscale, the result is the larger upscaled image.
- Copies in Photos, if you chose Save to Photos. Those are separate.
Manage it
- Open the library on Home.
- Long-press a project and choose Delete to remove it and its files.
- Delete projects you’ve already saved to Photos and no longer need to edit.
- Keep the ones you may want to re-export at full quality later.
Good practice
- Save the photos you care about to Photos, and back up your Photos library.
- Don’t treat the app as your archive. Deleting the app deletes its library.
- Upscaled results are big, so remove ones you’ve exported.
Privacy
Everything stays on your device: no account and no cloud copy of the library.
FAQ
Where are my colourised photos? In ReColor’s library on Home, stored privately in the app. They’re only in your Photos app if you saved them there.
How do I delete one? Long-press a project in the library and choose Delete. This removes its original and result from the app.
Does deleting a project delete it from Photos? No. Copies you already saved to Photos stay there.
