How to View and Edit RAW and HEIC Photos on a Mac Without Importing

TL;DR

The folder on your disk is the library. Pixer opens RAW from major cameras, HEIC, AVIF, WebP, TIFF and more, and keeps adjustments in a sidecar so originals are untouched until you choose File > Save.

Open

Point Pixer at a folder. Arrow through the shoot at full resolution in grid, single or filmstrip view.

Check

The EXIF panel and histogram are free. Marquee-select in the grid and ⌘C / ⌘V to copy photos.

Edit

Adjustments exist as a sidecar .pixer folder beside the image. The original isn’t rewritten.

Formats

JPEG, PNG, HEIC, HEIF, AVIF, WebP, TIFF, GIF, BMP, PSD and RAW.
