PDFExtract Free vs Pro: Page Limit, Images, Tables and ZIP

TL;DR

Free: text, Markdown and OCR for the first 5 pages, the first 10 images, every setting, copy/share Markdown. Pro: all pages, all images, table rebuild and ZIP export, as a monthly or yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Earlier paid buyers keep Pro.

The problem

Before you spend time on a long document, you want to know where the free version stops.

Free

  • Text, Markdown and OCR for the first 5 pages of each document. Pages beyond are not processed at all.
  • Extraction of all images, with the first 10 viewable; the rest are blurred.
  • Every OCR and Markdown setting: languages, detection, correction, level, resolution, output style, headings, title.
  • Copy Markdown, share the Markdown file, view the original, projects and re-runs.

Pro

  • Every page, however long the document.
  • Every extracted image, unblurred and shareable.
  • Tables rebuilt as Markdown tables.
  • Batch ZIP export of the Markdown plus images.

Plans

Monthly and yearly subscriptions (auto-renewing, managed in your Apple Account) or a one-time Lifetime purchase. Prices appear in the app for your region. Use Restore Purchases in Settings on a new device.

How to choose

  • Occasional short documents: free is enough.
  • A long report or book, or regular use: Pro; lifetime if you don’t want a subscription.
  • Need only the figures from one document: you can often get by with the free 10 images.

After upgrading

Open older projects and Run extraction again so the locked pages are read and tables are rebuilt.

FAQ

Is there a lifetime option? Yes. Pro is available monthly, yearly or as a one-time lifetime purchase.

I paid for the app before it became free. Do I keep Pro? Yes. People who bought the paid version before the free version launched are treated as Pro.

What if I have lifetime and a subscription? The app warns you that the subscription is redundant; cancel it in your Apple Account settings.

Do free users lose anything private? No. All plans process documents on the device.
