How to Export, Name, Organize and Re-Share Your Ringtones

TL;DR

Export saves an M4A under a category you choose. The Works tab lists finished exports to preview, share or delete; the Library tab holds source audio; Projects hold your editable timelines. Projects live on the device, with iCloud workspace support when available.

The problem

After a few experiments you have six versions of the same song, a folder of recordings, and no idea which file is the finished ringtone. Re-sharing one means digging through project files.

The four areas

TabWhat lives there
ProjectsEditable timelines you can reopen.
LibrarySource audio: imported files, extracted video audio, recordings.
WorksExported results, ready to share.
SettingsPro, snap, haptics, project naming.

Export

  1. In the editor tap Export.
  2. Choose a Category: Ringtones, Alarm, or add your own.
  3. Format is M4A. Turn on High quality export (Pro) for a cleaner preview file for sharing or saving.
  4. Tap Export Ringtone. A success screen shows the file and the set-up guide.

Afterwards

  • Works: preview, share again, or delete.
  • Library: preview, share or delete source files.
  • Projects: reopen to adjust and export a new version. Project names follow a template you can set in Settings.

Storage

Projects and files are stored on your device. If iCloud is available, the workspace can live in your private iCloud container so it’s available across your devices.
