RadioX Pro: What It Removes and Unlocks, and Where the Free Version Shows Ads
Free RadioX includes every feature, one alarm and ads (an app-open ad, interstitials when switching station or episode, and native cards). Pro, a monthly or yearly subscription, removes ads everywhere and unlocks unlimited alarms.
The problem
You want a free radio and podcast app without paying up front, but you also don’t want to be interrupted while listening. And you want to know what a subscription actually buys.
Free
- Radio stations you add, podcasts, Apple Music browsing, playlists, history, sleep timer, bedside clock and all other features.
- One alarm.
- Ads: an app-open ad (at most every few hours), interstitials when you switch station or episode (rate-limited), and native cards in lists. In regions that require it a consent form appears first.
Where ads never appear
- Apple Music surfaces (and the app-open ad is held back while Apple Music is playing).
- The bedside clock face.
- The app launch that comes from tapping Listen on an alarm.
Pro
- No ads anywhere.
- Unlimited alarms.
- Supports ongoing development.
Monthly and yearly plans auto-renew until cancelled; manage them in Settings → Manage Subscription or your Apple Account. Use Restore if you reinstall.
Is it worth it?
If you mostly use RadioX in the evening or on commutes and switch stations a lot, Pro removes the interruptions. If you listen to one station, free is fine.
