What Syncs Between Your iPhone, iPad, Mac and Vision Pro in RadioX

TL;DR

Your custom stations and followed podcasts sync via iCloud when it's available. Alarms, listening history, podcast progress, Apple Music history and playlists are deliberately device-local. Settings shows whether iCloud is available.

The problem

You add a station on your iPhone and expect it on the iPad in the kitchen. But you don’t want your alarm going off on every device, or the iPad claiming you’re mid-way through an episode you heard on the phone.

What syncs

Through your iCloud account (when iCloud is available and you’re signed in):

  • Custom stations you added, with their details.
  • Followed podcasts.

What stays on each device

  • Alarms (so only one device rings)
  • Listening history and podcast progress
  • Apple Music history
  • Playlists

Check status

Settings shows an iCloud status for custom stations: syncing automatically, unavailable (not signed in), or waiting for the system. If it is unavailable your stations still work locally.

Back up as well

iCloud sync is not a backup. Use Export Custom Stations in Settings for a file you can keep (see the backup guide).

FAQ

What syncs? Custom stations and followed (“favorited”) podcasts, through your iCloud account.

What doesn’t? Alarms, listening history, podcast progress, Apple Music history and playlists.

Why don’t alarms sync? A synced alarm would ring on every signed-in device at the same time, so alarms are local on purpose.

How do I see if iCloud is working? Settings shows the iCloud status for your custom stations.
