How to Use AirPlay, Lock Screen and Control Center Controls with RadioX
RadioX plays in the background and appears on the Lock Screen and Control Center with play, pause and artwork. Use the AirPlay button to send audio to speakers or a TV. A mini player stays on screen and can be dragged to either edge.
The problem
You want the radio on in the kitchen speaker, to pause from the Lock Screen without opening the app, and to browse for the next show while something is still playing.
Steps
- Start a station, episode or song.
- Lock Screen / Control Center: pause, resume and skip using the system controls, which show the artwork and title.
- AirPlay: tap the AirPlay icon in the full player (or in Control Center) and pick a speaker or TV.
- Mini player: collapse the full player and drag the mini player to whichever edge suits you.
Tips
- Live radio has no scrubber; podcasts and songs do.
- If AirPlay doesn’t list your speaker, check you’re on the same Wi-Fi.
- On Mac there’s a menu bar player as well.
- Alarms ring through the system, not AirPlay; see the alarm guide.
