How to Find and Reuse Past Translations (History)

TL;DR

History keeps your past translations on the phone, grouped by day, with search and a detail view where you can copy, share, replay or delete an entry. Delete entries if the text is sensitive.

The problem

You translated an address, a phrase or an instruction last week and need it again. The translation is gone, so you retype it and hope it comes out the same way. Or you translated something sensitive and wonder where it went.

What history does

Every translation is saved on the device with its languages, grouped by day. You can:

  • Search for a word or phrase.
  • Open an entry to see the full text and translation.
  • Copy, share or replay it.
  • Delete it. Deleting asks first, and can’t be undone.

Nothing is uploaded to keep history.

Make it useful

  • Build a phrasebook as you travel. Reuse the lines you needed most, like a hotel address or an allergy note.
  • Clear sensitive entries. History is a record of what you translated, so remove anything private.

Where it stops

History is per device and isn’t synced to other phones. Cloud translations are stored the same way once they’re returned, so delete those entries too if needed.
